Technologies

Any language. The right stack for the job.

We do not push a favourite framework. We pick, or match, the technology that suits your problem, your existing systems and the people who will maintain the software afterwards.

Our stance

Why we are not tied to one technology

Over 25 years of building software, languages and frameworks have come and gone, and the businesses we work for have kept running systems written in many of them. That experience shapes how we choose. A new project should use something well supported and easy to hire for. An existing system should usually be extended in the language it is already written in, unless there is a good reason to move.

The lists below are what we work with regularly. If your stack is not listed, ask. Learning a new tool to a professional standard is part of the job, and we will tell you plainly if something is outside what we should take on.

Choosing

How we choose a stack

  1. Start with your constraints

Existing systems, hosting, budget, the skills of the people who will own it, and how long it must last.

  2. Prefer proven and supported

Technology with an active community and a clear upgrade path costs less to keep running.

  3. Keep it simple

The simplest architecture that meets the need is the one that is easiest to change next year.
