Services

Private AI model hosting, so your data stays on infrastructure you control

Some data should not be sent to an outside AI service. IT-Labs sets up and runs AI models on a dedicated server, either your own or one we arrange and operate for you, and gives your applications a private way to use them.

What it is

Private AI Model Hosting: what you get

Private AI model hosting means the model runs on a server that only you use. Your documents, messages and records are processed there and are not passed to a third-party AI provider. We choose an open model that suits the task, size the server to the workload, install and secure it, and expose a private API endpoint that your own applications call.

We also look after what comes after launch: access control, so only the right systems and people can use the endpoint, monitoring, and updates to the software and the models. If you would rather not own the hardware, we can arrange a dedicated server and run it for you.

An honest note: models you host yourself are usually less capable than the largest hosted AI models. For many tasks, such as classifying, extracting, summarising or answering from your own documents, they are good enough. We do not assume it; we measure on your own examples before you commit. And where it makes sense, we can combine both: private models for sensitive work and a hosted model for the harder tasks.

Problems we solve

Typical problems this solves

Data that cannot leave the company

Contracts, customer records and internal documents are too sensitive to send to an outside service. A model on a dedicated server keeps that processing on infrastructure you control.

Not sure what hardware you need

Buying too little makes the model slow, and buying too much wastes money. We size the server to your real workload, and we are honest about what a given size can and cannot do.

No way for your apps to use the model

A model on a server is not yet a feature. We provide a private API endpoint that your applications call, with access control in front of it.

Unsure whether a self-hosted model is good enough

Quality differs between models. We test on your examples and show the results side by side, so the decision rests on evidence.

A server nobody is looking after

Models, drivers and software need updates, and a failing service needs to be noticed. We provide monitoring and routine updates.

Deliverables

What we deliver

  • A written recommendation: which open model, what server size, and what to expect from it
  • Trial on your own examples, with results compared against a hosted model where you want that
  • Installation and hardening of the model server, on your hardware or on a dedicated server we arrange
  • A private API endpoint for your applications, with access control and keys
  • Monitoring and a plan for updates to the software and the models
  • Handover notes, so you know what runs where and how to change it

Engagement

How the engagement works

We begin with a free consultation. You describe the task and the data involved; we tell you whether a private model is sensible, what it could do and what it could not, and send a written estimate. Hardware, running costs and the trade-offs are covered in our research on hardware and costs.

A typical project starts with a short trial on a sample of your own material to see how well a self-hosted model performs. If it does, we build the server and the private endpoint, connect your application and then run it. You choose whether the server is yours or one we arrange, and whether any work goes to a hosted model as well. Questions about legal or regulatory requirements stay with your own legal or compliance adviser; we design with the relevant rules in mind.

Questions

Common questions

Is a self-hosted model as good as the largest hosted ones?

Usually not. The largest hosted models are generally more capable. For many focused business tasks a self-hosted model is good enough, and we measure that on your examples instead of guessing.

Does our data really stay private?

The model runs on a dedicated server and your data is processed there instead of being sent to an outside AI provider. We add access control and hardening. Your own legal or compliance adviser has the final word on what your rules require.

Do we have to buy hardware?

No. You can use a server you already own, or we can arrange a dedicated server and run it for you. We help you weigh the two options.

Can we use private and hosted models together?

Yes. A common design keeps sensitive work on the private model and sends harder, non-sensitive tasks to a hosted model, behind the same private endpoint for your applications.

Can our existing software use the model?

Yes. We expose a private API endpoint, and we can connect your applications to it, or build the integration if you do not have one.

How do you charge?

We do not publish prices. After a free consultation we give you a written estimate, so you know the scope before you commit.

Tell us what you need built

Describe the problem, the system or the idea. We offer a free initial consultation and a written estimate, and you will talk directly to the developer who would build it.
